Applications
Dynamometer is mainly used for load test of power machinery and
transmission mechanism. The traditional dynamometer uses eddy
current or water vortex brake to provide load for dynamic
mechanical test. The electric dynamometer uses the motor working in
the power generation operation mode as the load. At the same time,
the size of the motor is controlled by the vector converter.
Because the motor is in the power generation mode for a long time,
energy feedback device is usually added in the drive system of
frequency converter to return the energy generated in the test
process to the power grid.
In order to return the power quality (low harmonic and high power
factor) to the power grid, the energy feedback device is PWM
rectifier, also known as active front end, hereinafter referred to
as AFE (active front end).
Compared with the traditional way, it is suitable for the test
loading of engine,motor, gearbox, etc.
